Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), unequivocally condemned recent malicious media allegations and unverifiable information targeting the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar. The GCC Secretary-General stressed that these allegations aim to cast doubt on the positions of the UAE and Qatar and their constructive role in supporting regional and global security and stability. Albudaiwi stated, "Over the past years, the UAE and the State of Qatar have provided a pioneering model in adopting policies that support regional stability through their active contributions to bridging views, supporting diplomatic endeavors, and enhancing international co-operation to address the challenges and crises facing the region, reflecting a responsible approach aimed at consolidating security and achieving development and prosperity for their peoples." He added that GCC nations reject media campaigns "aimed at offending any of their members."
Undermining Regional Stability Efforts
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi asserted that the media allegations against the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar are designed to undermine and vitiate the sincere efforts made by GCC states. These efforts, Albudaiwi stated, are aimed at consolidating security and stability, alongside fostering dialogue and co-operation among countries in the region. He emphasized that GCC nations are steadily advancing their approach, which is fundamentally based on strengthening stability and enhancing co-operation across the Gulf. This steadfast commitment ensures that the region continues its trajectory towards greater integration and collective security, despite external attempts to sow discord or discredit its members.
GCC's Unified Stance
GCC nations unequivocally reject any media campaigns aimed at offending any of their members. Such campaigns, according to the Gulf Cooperation Council, will not affect the cohesion and unity of GCC nations. The organization also affirmed that these efforts would not diminish the dedication of member states to performing their key role in supporting security, stability, and prosperity on both regional and global stages. This stance was reiterated amidst concerns about media allegations targeting the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar. The GCC emphasized its collective resolve to maintain a unified front against challenges to its members' reputations and contributions to international cooperation, assuring that their vital roles will continue unimpeded.
Pioneering Roles in Diplomacy
The United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar have established themselves as pioneering models in regional stability, according to Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Albudaiwi stated that both nations have actively contributed to bridging views and supporting diplomatic endeavors. Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, underlined that the allegations targeting the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar lack credibility and objective foundations.
