What Travellers Need To Know
Affected travelers could obtain the visa on arrival at a Qatari port of entry or apply before travel through the Hayya platform. The two options allowed applicants either to complete the process in advance or seek the visa when entering Qatar.
A QAR 100 fee was equivalent to approximately ₦36,494. The conversion gave travelers paying in Nigerian currency an approximate value for the required charge.
| Visa arrangement | Fee | Entry and stay terms |
|---|---|---|
| Visa for the 11 listed locations | QAR 100, approximately ₦36,494 | Available on arrival at a Qatari port of entry or through an advance application on the Hayya platform |
| Separate eligibility list covering 47 nationalities | Free | Multiple entries and stays of up to 30 days |
Qatar also maintained a separate list of 47 nationalities whose citizens were eligible for a free tourist visa. That visa permitted multiple entries and stays of up to 30 days, distinguishing it from the QAR 100 arrangement for the 11 locations.
