Qatar Airways is significantly expanding its global network, returning to 26 destinations in key global markets starting today, the airline announced. This strategic expansion marks a key moment for the carrier as it continues to rebuild and strengthen its full route map. With these additions, Qatar Airways will serve more than 160 destinations this summer, offering travelers unparalleled connectivity across continents. The airline had previously resumed safe and secure operations to over 60 destinations from March 2026, steadily enhancing its global footprint. Resuming Key Global Routes
The airline's expansion plan includes the launch of new routes and the resumption of service to several vital destinations. The Port Sudan (PZU) route is scheduled to launch on July 2, re-establishing a key link to East Africa. This new service will provide important connectivity for passengers traveling to and from Sudan, facilitating both business and leisure travel. Further expanding the airline's presence in South America, service to Caracas (CCS) and Bogotá (BOG) will commence from July 22. These routes will strengthen Qatar Airways' network in a rapidly growing market, offering more options for travelers connecting through its Doha hub.
In North America, the airline will resume service to Philadelphia (PHL) from August 1, re-establishing a key connection to the East Coast of the United States. This resumption is expected to cater to strong demand, providing a direct link for passengers from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia to this important American city. The strategic reintroduction of these routes is designed to meet the increasing demand for international travel and to offer passengers more diverse and convenient travel options.
Beyond new and resumed routes, several existing destinations will see increased flight frequencies, enhancing their accessibility and capacity.
